Frequently Asked Questions

How do book a trial lesson?

Use the “Get in Touch” form or send Miss Sarah an email or text message, asking to book in for a trial lesson.

 

How do I select the right class for my child?

Have a look at the Timetable based on your child’s age.  Contact Miss Sarah to book a trial lesson, in that age group. Miss Sarah can then assess your child’s abilities and direct you to the appropriate class/es.

 

 

What to wear?

For a trial lesson, please wear comfortable clothing ie: leggings and a singlet top.

Once you enrol, our uniform is listed under the “Uniform” tab on the website.  Most leotards and ballet skirts can be purchased at Kmart or any Dance Shop.  Second hand shoes are for sale through Miss Sarah if you do not wish to buy new.

 

How do I know if I want Recreational or more serious classes?

All preschool classes are Recreational, for fun.  Once your child is at school, you can register for exams and Solo work.  Is you are unsure, speak to Miss Sarah.  If your child shows potential, Miss Sarah will let you know.

 

How is Information communicated?

Newsletters go out each term.  We also have Private Facebook groups set up for extra communication throughout the term.

 

How much are classes and how do I pay?

Fees are calculated by the hour.  Our hourly rate is listed on the Website.

Fees are paid each term, either online or cash.  Preschool classes have the option of weekly payments.

 

Is there Parking?

There is a car park at 44 Chandler Road, Boronia for all Preschool Classes.

There is a car park at 59 Boronia Road, Boronia and there is also Street Parking available on Allandale Road.

 

Do classes run during School Holidays and Public Holidays.

Our classes align with the School Term, so you have all School Holidays and Public Holidays off.

 

How does the End of Year Concert work and what does it cost?

The End of Year Concert is held at Karralyka Theatre in Ringwood.  There is no limit to tickets purchased.  You do not have to sew, costumes are supplied for a Hire Fee and are returned after the Concert.

 

Is the Concert Filmed? Can I take photos?

The Concert is filmed by a Professional Videographer. DVDs or USBs need to be ordered prior to Concert day.  Flash photography is not permitted, however, we do have a Professional Photo Day.

 

Student Safety and Wellbeing

The safety and welfare of all our students is extremely important to us. All of the teachers have a current Working With Children Check.  All Teachers have been trained in First Aid. Miss Sarah has completed the Keep Kids Safe in Dance course.
