Covid-19 Safety Policy

All teaching staff have undertaken the Australian Government COVID-19 Infection Control Training and will follow Government guidelines, in respect to infection control and hygiene.

Staff Responsibilities:

Wear a face mask
Clean and disinfect the halls prior to class
This involves disinfecting kitchen benches, taps, door handles, tables, chairs, ballet barres, toilets and toilet doors, sweeping and mopping of floors
Supply Anti-bacterial soap in the toilets
Supply santizer to each student
Supply Anti-bacterial wipes in the kitchen for parents to use if they feel the need
Supply markings on the floor for the younger students, so they know where to stand to keep 1.5m distance
Encourage all older students to dance at a 1.5m distance
Take students temperatures if requested
Wear gloves if requested when required to help change students shoes
Text and email out term fees to avoid paper/hand contact
Send out Newsletters via email to avoid the paper/hand contact
Keep a record of all students, and parents at drop off and pick up, to assist in any contact tracing if required.

Student Responsibilities:

Wash hands and use sanitizer before the commencement of class
Students over 12 are required to wear a face mask. If routines are high impact, students may remove them as long as they are put straight back on at the conclusion of the dance. If students are dizzy or out of breath due to face mask, it should be removed for the students safety
Students under 12, please cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing and then wash and sanitize your hands
Students are to avoid touching their face
Students are to avoid touching others
Maintain 1.5m from other dancers
When sitting down to change shoes, or on a drink break, students must still maintain the 1.5m distance from friends
Students to bring their own drink bottle and ask Miss Sarah to refill it, so we don’t have congestion in the kitchen
Students must not come to class if feeling unwell

Parent Responsibilities:

Make sure your child washes their hands and uses the sanitizer supplied before the commencement of class
Make sure your child has their own full drink bottle
If your child is over 12, please make sure she has a face mask
Make sure your child has their hair firmly back in a ponytail to stop them playing with their hair and touching their face
If your child is old enough, let them walk themselves in and wait in the car at pick up time.
If your child is young, one parent can walk them in and one parent can collect them
Please don’t arrive too early for class to avoid having to hang around foyer areas
